How the Visit Works

Four steps, whichever door you pick.

  1. Pick Your Door

The 8:30 car, the summer bus 68, or the boat — the comparison above prices each in the currency that matters: certainty.

  2. If Driving, Beat the Barrier

Free car park, full by 9–10am in July–August, road closed behind it. 8:30 works. 10:30 circles.

  3. Walk the Pine Path

10–15 easy minutes down to the sand. Water, hat, and more to drink than you think — the cove sells almost nothing, on purpose.

  4. Or Let the Boat Solve It

From Cala'n Bosch the route sails the Turqueta–Macarella stretch with swim stops — four calas in a day, zero clocks.

Menorca’s clearest water defends itself with the politest weapon on the island: a free car park that is full by 9–10am every July and August morning — after which a barrier closes the access road itself. No fee, no ticket, no appeal: just arithmetic.

This site is the arithmetic, honestly: the parking truth in detail, every way in (the 8:30 drive, summer bus 68, the Galdana-side alternatives), the Turqueta-or-Macarella coin flip — and the door with no clock on it: the south-coast boats from Cala’n Bosch (4.6/5 from 1,035 reviews, $41) sail the Turqueta stretch with swim stops, barrier not applicable.

Travelling with kids? The pick of this coast is the family boat tour with snorkeling4.9/5 from 213 reviews, from $70, snorkel gear, guide, drink and snack included, sailing from Cala Galdana past the Turqueta stretch. Great for families, and no car park involved.

"A 3.5-hour boat ride from Cala'n Bosch with an hour-long break for sunbathing on the beach in Cala en Turqueta. The crew is very friendly, and recordings in English and other languages are played during the cruise. The ship has a glass bottom, so you can admire the fish and flora. I highly recommend it for this price. Despite the strong wind, there were no waves on the sea, so the trip was comfortable."
